New Arcade Fire! Interestingly enough, the other single is called ‘Month of May,’ and Annabel and I decided that these two releases are probably the story of our lives right now. Anyway, the song is summery, with a hint of nostalgic quality tucked somewhere in between those ever-hazy and slightly obscured vocals. It’s a bit different (kind of fits in with the new summery trend a lot of bands seem to be taking on nowadays), but after a few listens I’m detecting classic Arcade Fire trademarks—most notably its slight bittersweet feel. Mmmm, nice.
